'You'd have to apologise to ME!': Carlos Tevez BLASTS PSG's decision to suspend Lionel Messi

Carlos Tevez has wildly criticised Paris Saint-Germain's decision to suspend Lionel Messi for two weeks after his unauthorised trip to Saudi Arabia.

The Argentina World Cup winner, who returned to PSG training on Monday, was forced to issue an apology to the club after undergoing the one-day trip, which had led to him missing a training session with his team-mates.

PSG also docked Messi's wages following his public apology, and he subsequently missed the French giants' 3-1 victory over Troyes last Sunday.

Then we can say a lot of things about a club that didn't really look after him. From the first moment he arrived, they didn't look after him. That's how it is.'

With the sanction now lifted, Messi is expected to be back in contention for PSG's home fixture with Ajaccio on Saturday.

The reigning champions, who hold a six-point lead over second place Lens with four matches left to play, are seeking to close in on defending the Ligue 1 title.

The next few weeks could well be Messi's last in the French capital, as the Argentina icon is actively listening to offers in pursuit of new pastures next season.

Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hilal, who remain the frontrunners to land Messi, have reportedly offered the 35-year-old forward a monster two-year contract worth €1billion (£887m).

Barcelona, Messi's former club, and MLS side Inter Miami are also in the race to land his signature.

Tevez, who enjoyed a storied career with Premier League outfits West Ham, Manchester United and Manchester City, was not shy of controversy during his time in England.

The Argentine sparked a handful of touchline bust-ups with former City boss Roberto Mancini back in 2010, first disagreeing with his manager's tactics during a 2-1 win over Newcastle and later reacting angrily towards being substituted in a 1-0 victory against Bolton.

Reports then claimed a year later that Tevez refused to play for City against Bayern Munich in a Champions League clash, following yet another explosive clash with Mancini. The forward denied the allegations.

Nowadays, Tevez is the manager of top flight Argentina outfit Rosario Central.
