Why Spain can't risk their influential captain against Japan.

The solid start by Spain at the ongoing  FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar where they have amassed four points from two games thereby sitting on top of Group E table ahead of Japan, Costa Rica and Germany is quite exciting to their armada of fans.

However,  their progression to the knockout stages though not confirmed but a positive outcome in their final group match against the men from the land of the Samurai (Japan) should get the job done.

A price might have to be paid in their bid to navigate pass Japan as their captain and influential midfielder, Sergio Busquet might not be involved in the all important match against the Asian Tigers. The 34-year-old Barcelona captain who is a key figure under Luis Enrique, also churning out impressive performances in both their World Cup matches so far picked up a yellow card against Germany last nightfor a foul on Jamal Musiala. making it risky and a gamble if he is fielded and picks another booking against Japan which will rule him out of Spain’s Round of 16 encounter if they scale through.
