Jubilant Newcastle United supporters numbering over 200,000-plus, turned out to celebrate their huge victory which ensured that they won the Carabao cup at Wembley earlier this month with an open-top bus parade.

The Geordies ended their lengthy 70-year wait for a domestic trophy on March 16 courtesy of goals from local hero Dan Burn and Alexander Isak to defeat Liverpool, even though Italian Federico Chiesa’s goal set up a grandstand finish yet the Magpies held out to make history

This first trophy since 1969, was commemorated massively by the club

with a bus parade through Newcastle city centre. after the procession left St James' Park at 4.30pm through streets lined with hundreds of thousands of adoring fans, making the atmosphere jubilant.

The procession left St James' Park at 4.30pm through streets lined with thousands of adoring fans, making the atmosphere jubilant, even as the

players took in the huge but chaotic scenes as the open top bus waggle its way to the Town Moor with more fans clambering on to roofs to get a good view of their latest Sporting heroes.

The team later took to the the stage at 6.30pm, with superfans Ant and Dec leading a chant of 'Toon! Toon!

We can’t forget one supporter who even ventured out perilously onto the branches of a tree crossing the road to get the perfect vantage point.

All the players and staff took turns to lift the cup, with the Geordie entertainers encouraging while the mass of fans keep cheering them on.

Even Newcastle legend Alan Shearer holds his black and white club scarf aloft as he takes to the stage as part of celebrations following the club's Carabao Cup victory
