It's no longer news that Nottingham forest Nigerian striker, Taiwo Awoniyi was born and bred in ilorin, Kwara state in Nigeria.
So whem first class monarch and emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Gambari who just marked his 27th year on the throne was in London recently having his holiday, it was an opportunity for the burly striker to meet him for some Royal blessings.
Awoniyi a native of Kwara uses the opportunity to present a replica of his jersey to the respected Monarch who in turn blessed the 25 year old who has scores three goals for his club, Nottingham forest so far in the current EPL season.
The revere Emir is also known for his love for football dating back to when he was the Vice-president of the then Nigeria football association (now NFF), he was also the leader of delegation to the Seoul Olympic in 1988.
