Qatar 2022: Ghana's football budget of hope

It's on record that African teams especially the West African countries are always having issues with money at major tournaments.

As recent as 2014, the squabble was so tough that the Authority in Ghana had to carry raw cash in millions of dollars to Brazil to offset all their bonuses because of the rancour in camp.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are no different either, they have had so many issues concerning unpaid wages as well.


So when the Ghanaian authority came up with Ghana's Budget for the 2022 world cup coming up in Qatar, it gladdens the hearts of avid sport lovers and stake holders, because this model should nick in the bud constant rancour that most times distract the teams from Africa in major competitions.

Looking at the way it was itemized also showed that the Ghanaian sporting authority and government put a whole lots in the consideration

Which should serve as a new vista for other countries to learn from.

• USD $8,166,200 million = Group Stage.

• USD $8, 792,600 million = Round of 16.

• USD $9.5 million = Quarter-Final.

• USD $14.1 million = Semi-Final.
