As the world cup begins today in Qatar after what seems like an impossible task given to it by FIFA, many still doubt the ability of the qatari to host the world cup despite the abundance of oil money, coupled with the poor human record dangling on its head as amnesty international keeps shouting about it all the time even as the show piece begins today with Qatar taking on Equador after the much anticipated opening ceremony where the Qatari's culture will be displayed.
Kudos to FIFA for taking a punt on Qatar as the world will be witnessing a grandeur of something different.
