Ex - Nigerian iinternational Mobi Oparaku says Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen should be punished by the NFF for missing Thursday’s international friendly with Portugal.
For Victor Osimhen was included by coach Jose Peseiro for the friendly with Portugal, but on Monday, NFF confirmed that Osimhen will no longer feature in the friendly and will now be replaced by Cremonese striker Cyriel Dessers.
Mobi Oparaku, a member of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic gold medal winning Dream Team labelled Osimhen's withdrawal a sabotage because he wasn't injured as we all saw him in action over the weekend.
The 1998 Super Eagles World Cup said because it’s a friendly and we are not going to the World Cup, he has come out to say he is not playing. This is sabotage he should be sanctioned.
His last appearance for the Super Eagles was in the 10-0 win away to São Tomé and Principe in the AFCON qualifiers in June this year. Just over the weekend he was on target for Napoli in their 3-2 win against Udinese which took his tally in the league to nine in 11 games.
