Newey's Next Gear: F1 Visionary to Spearhead Aston Martin's Technical Push

After almost two successful decades at Red Bull Racing, Adrian Newey, Former chief technology officer of the Red Bull Racing will spearhead Aston Martin’s F1 design team and will own a minority stake in the team, and will be earning a reported £89,000 per day as Aston Martin role begins officially as managing technical partner ahead of the 2025 Formula 1 season.


65-year-old Newey is one amongst several high-profile additions to join Aston Martin who have also restructured their management team by making Andy Cowell  team principal and Mike Krack as head of trackside operations while Enrico Cardile is chief technical officer.


As Newey joins after Aston Martin launched their 2025 challenger, his focus will be on the car for 2026 when new engine regulations will come in place.

He will be earning £30 million per year at Aston Martin which is equivalent to £2.5 million per month and £623,000 per week.
