Former NBA star and team Nigeria captain, Olumide Oyedeji has once again been returned as President of the Nigerian Olympian Association at its Elective congress held in Akure, Ondo State.
The new Executive led by the former NBA star will herald the continued bonding and strengthening of the Nigerian Olympic family.
The Vice President post went to Lawrence Iquaibom who represented Nigeria at the 1984 and 88 Olympics. Retired quarter -miler and Bronze medalist at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Falilat Ogunkoya also emerged as the second Vice President.
Also elected on the board is General Secretary Ekuta, Catherine Ewa who competed at the 2004 Athens Olympics was voted as the Assistant secretary as the post of Treasurer was taken by Emmanuel Oshomor.
Others elected on the board include; Mary Mpolulu Nwachukwu (financial secretary) Suleiman Edibo Musa (publicity secretary) and Juliana Negedu Akhare (Welfare officer),. Their term of office runs from 2022 to 2026.
