The Red Devils, Manchester United's season is one best described as  a tale of two contrasting fortunes. They have been underwhelming, struggling to find consistency domestically and languishing on 14th Position in  the league.

However, on the European stage, Ruben Amorin's side has sprung to life, producing impressive performances and results that have left fans and pundits scratching their heads.

It is a puzzle amongst their supporters now because despite their underwhelming league form, Manchester United's European exploits have offered a tantalizing glimpse of the team's potential, leaving many wondering what could have been if they could replicate this success in the English Premier League.

On a night that holds a great implications, Manchester United fell behind inside 10 minutes as Mikel Oyarzabal scored a penalty for the visitors after Matthijs de Ligt was adjudged to have committed a foul in the box, however, before the Red Devils replied back six minutes later from the spot-kick too, with Talisman Bruno Fernandes keeping his cool to bring his side level.

Bruno Fernandes went ahead to score a hat-trick to lead Manchester United into the Europa League quarter-finals on a 5-2 aggregate win over Spanish Side Real Sociedad.

The question on a lot of lips is, if only United could translate some of the firm they exhibit on the European scene to the domestic scene, they would have been in a better position than where they are now.
