Fans slam ‘tone deaf’ Man Utd for ‘shameful’ comment on David de Gea’s wedding photos

DAVID DE GEA tied the knot to glamorous bride Edurne - and the club who made him unemployed on his wedding day were among the first to congratulate him.

But furious fans hit back at Manchester United and blasted them for "treating him terribly" and being "tone deaf" on social media.

De Gea's £375,000-a-week deal expired on Friday and he is now a free agent.

But he has been sensationally asked not to join another club despite his contract being up at United.

SunSport exclusively revealed on Sunday how the 32-year-old is a target for Cristiano Ronaldo’s club Al-Nassr as his United career hits breaking point.

The Spanish keeper could be the latest top player to head for Saudi Arabia, with a potential £250,000-a-week contract to play with his old Red Devils team-mate.

De Gea would still ideally like to stay at Old Trafford if they can reach a compromise over new terms.

But yesterday, after waking up unemployed, he put those employment issues to one side as he got hitched to singer, TV presenter and actress Edurne Garcia, 37.

The loved-up couple held their pre-wedding bash on the Spanish island of Menorca then the big day arrived on Saturday.

Edurne looked stunning in her white dress as she looked lovingly at her fella, decked out in a grey suit, white shirt and tie.

De Gea shared snaps of him and his new wife on Instagram and captioned them with: "We couldn't be happier!"

The well-wishes soon flooded in, with United's official Insta account among the first as they wrote alongside a love heart emoji: "Felicidades, David."

However, furious fans soon responded to that comment as they blasted the club and claimed they "had no shame" amid the contract situation.

One fan wrote: "You made him a free agent after years of Excellent loyal service and have the cheek to comment, as a MU fan, f*** off."

Another said: "Are u kidding?? You let this man lose a job in a wedding day."

"Are you kidding," asked a fellow supporter as another called it "foul behaviour" and another comment read: "This club has no shame… you’ve been so disrespectful to him!"

Another comment read: "As a fan since I was 12 years old this club is incredibly tone deaf and treat legends like s. Don't f*** around with his money and future but come and wish him well on his wedding day it’s two faced."

As another added: "So that’s the way you treated a 12-years Red Devils, bravo.
