Chippa United Eyes NPFL for Nwabali’s Replacement

Super Eagles first choice keeper has done enough with his club, Chippa United of South Africa with his assured display in goal, coupled with his domineering presence and performance for the Suoer Eagles of Nigeria, to warrant constant rumors about his future.

The 28 year old Stanley Nwabali was an unknown quantity before, but since the end of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire, he has risen to prominence and linked to big clubs in South Africa like QPR, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, the move didn’t materialize. Nwabali so he remained at Chippa United eventually.
Meanwhile, it appears a ray of hope now that his time at South African side, Chippa United is up with Nwabali set to leave the Chilli Boys at the end of the season which has now led to his club to beam their searchlight on the
Nigeria Premier Football League is a for his replacement.
It is noteworthy that Stanley Nwabali is not the first Nigerian goalkeeper to play for the Chilli Boys as former Nigeria goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi was their number 1 between 2015 and 2019.
As it is now, there are some good goalkeepers in the NPFL like Kayode Bankole, Mustapha Lawal, and Serge Obassa. Who knows? Chippa United might just go ahead and sign one of them as Nwabali’s replacement.
