CAFWCL; Bayelsa Queens show courage in their victory over TP Mazembe.

Celebration in the camp of Bayelsa Queens as the Nigerian Ladies and WAFU champions defeated TP Mazembe 2-0 on thursday night to get their campaign back on track.

Perhaps, Monday's opening-day defeat suffered against defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns was a wake up for the girls from the creek of Nigeria. So they were evidently aware of the much needed change in fortunes so as to stay in contention.

They made their dominance count early as they shot into the lead after four minutes into the game as Miracle Joseph scored from the penalty spot to give Bayelsa Queens a 1-0 lead. They sustained the pressure and doubled their lead in the 24th minute through Chinyere Igboamalu.

There is still alot to play for in the final group games as Bayelsa Queens and TP Mazembe are tied on three points after two games.
